Depart on your overnight flight to Budapest, arriving in Hungary’s lively capital spanning the banks of the Danube. The reminder of the day is free to relax and enjoy the city.

DEC 2: BUDAPEST, HUNGARY
Take in the beauty of Budapest while enjoying a free morning to explore the sites of Budapest. Get to know the city’s cafés and pubs, and don’t miss the unique Christmas markets that Budapest hosts every year during the Festive season Gaillard – historic home of King Richard the Lionheart.
Board your ship this afternoon and enjoy the warmth and glow of Christmas traditions as your ship overnights in Budapest. (B, D)

DEC. 3: BUDAPEST, HUNGARY
Budapest’s unique energy is positively palatable. On your included tour of the city, see Heroes’ Square as well as the massive hilltop castle complex with its remarkable Fisher- men’s Bastion and 11th-century Matthias Church, the corona- tion spot of several Hungarian monarchs. You may even want to walk across Chain Bridge, built in 1849 and a symbol of Budapest.
The afternoon is free to spend more time at the Christmas markets or perhaps visit St. Stephen’s Basilica for marvelous city views from its viewing platform, or stroll along Váci utca, the main shopping street.

DEC 4: BRATISLAVA, SLOVAKIA
Join a guided tour of Old Town’s cobblestone streets to the town hall. Visit the Gothic halls of St. Martin’s Cathedral; Hungary’s centuries old-coronation church.
This afternoon spend your time browsing the spruce stalls of the Christmas markets of Bratislava.

DEC 5: MELK – VIENNA, AUSTRIA
Enjoy a guided tour of Melk’s magnificent Benedictine Abby with it’s frescoed ceilings, statues, library and ornate pipe organ. This afternoon your ship will sail the spectacular Wachau Valley to Vienna. Join your pastry chef for a holiday treat with a Austrian Cookie demonstration and tasting!
This evening you may wish to join an optional excursion to attend a Royal Waltz Concert at the Vienna Opera House. (B, L, D)

DEC 6: VIENNA, AUSTRIA
Explore the Habsburg Empire this morning with a guided tour of Vienna’s gilded landmarks. See the Imperial Palace gardens decorated for the festive holiday season. Once the winter home of the Imperial family. See the iconic Vienna Opera House and stunning St. Stephen’s Cathedral.
